The Safe & Sound Shuttle Program
Shuttle Logistics can provide your campus with a complete shuttle route system equipped with state-of-the-art shuttles, well-trained and efficient drivers and the know-how to keep your system running smoothly and effectively. Real-Time GPS Tracking
The Safe and Sound Shuttle Program includes a real-time, GPS tracking system that displays the shuttle route, stops and the current location of all shuttle buses (including the direction they are traveling).
Brown University safeRIDE
safeRIDE is a cooperative, safety-oriented transportation service implemented by Shuttle Logistics at Brown University. This transportation system provides shuttle services from 7pm to 3am to students, faculty and staff on five fixed routes and also provides the onCall service for those who don't live directly on the shuttle routes. The safeRIDE vans circle these routes continuously, stopping at the prescribed locations every ten minutes. No reservations are required.
All safeRIDE drivers are professionally licensed chauffeurs who have passed extensive background checks and have received, in addition to driver training, Brown University’s sexual-harassment, diversity, and crime-prevention training. safeRIDE drivers are uniformed and wear a safeRIDE photo badge which you may ask to see at any time.
- More than 180,000 riders per year.
- Over 13 shuttle routes, with 19 to 29 stops per route.
- Service runs from 8am to 4am throughout the school year, Brown MedExpress runs 365 days a year.
- Staff of 42 professional drivers.
- Fleet of six 15-passenger vans, four 12-passenger vans; 11 7-passenger vans and 1 Handicap-enabled van.
BrownMed Express
BrownMed Express is a daytime shuttle specifically developed to provide transportation between Brown and the hospitals, via downtown and the jewelry district. The free service is available to students, faculty and staff of Brown, and of the hospitals affiliated with the Brown Medical School. Passengers must show ID before boarding the shuttle van.
